As we settle into 2026, the team here at Rick Terry Jewelry Designs wanted to take a second to breathe and say a massive thank you. If you’ve been coming to see Rick since he opened the doors in 1986 or you just found our Knoxville showroom this year, you are the reason we get to do what we love every single day.
Jewelry is rarely just about the metal or the stones. It’s about the “yes” during a sunset proposal, the “I’m proud of you” graduation gift, and the “I miss her” heirloom restoration. This year, we’re doubling down on our promise to treat your stories with the expert care they deserve.
Crafting Your “Forever”
If you’re planning a 2026 wedding, you’ve probably noticed that trends are leaning toward personal meaning. We’re seeing a big rise in Toi et Moi (two-stone) rings and unique “East-West” settings where the diamond sits horizontally.
Why choose custom? Most big-box stores sell “stock” rings, mass-produced pieces made to fit everyone. At Rick Terry’s, we use in-house CAD design and 3D printing. This means you don’t just pick a ring; you build it. You can see a wax model of your design before we ever cast it in gold. It’s the difference between buying a suit off the rack and having one made specifically for you.
Giving Old Stories New Life
We love helping people take “jewelry box survivors”, those pieces you inherited but never wear, and turning them into something modern.
When we redesign a piece, we don’t just swap parts. Our master jewelers, including Rick’s sons Blake and Matt, check the structural strength of your gold and the health of your gemstones. We can even hand-cut stones to fit a specific vision.
One of the most common questions we get is: “Do you send my jewelry away for repair?” The answer is a firm NO. At Rick Terry Jewelry Designs, everything stays right here in Knoxville. Shipping jewelry is risky and adds weeks to the wait time. By keeping repairs on-site, we maintain full quality control. Whether it’s a simple ring resizing, a prong re-tipping, or a complex laser welding job, your piece stays under our roof and our direct eyes.
Bring your rings in every six months for a “check-up.” We’ll look at the prongs for free to make sure your diamonds aren’t at risk of falling out.

Let’s Make 2026 Brilliant
At the end of the day, we’re a family business. When you walk through our doors, you’re talking to the people who actually do the work. We’re so grateful to be Knoxville’s choice for custom jewelry and repairs.
Ready to start your next project? Come by our Kingston Pike location in Farragut or book a design meeting. We can’t wait to see what we’ll create together this year.
